FAIRPLAY TOWAGE established in 1905 is privately owned until today. The company started as a harbour towage provider in Hamburg and the adjacent waters on River Elbe and the North Sea. At present FAIRPLAY TOWAGE owns a fleet 20 tugs operating in the Ports of Hamburg, Stade, Wedel, Rostock, Wismar, Stralsund, Sassnitz, Wolgast (all Germany), Rotterdam (Netherlands) and through its 100% subsidiary “Project Zegluga” also in Szczecin and Police (Poland).

Additionally Fairplay is active in coastal towages and - as one of the few German tugowners - engaged in worldwide towages. Fairplay employs approx.  200 staff consisting of experienced seagoing personnel and a team of skilled shipping executives, superintendents, operators and accountants.

The Tugboats FAIRPLAY IX, FAIRPLAY-23 and FAIRPLAY-28 are FAIRPLAY’s contribution to EURO-TUGS.
